“Dancing With the Moms Challenge” Presented on ABC-TV’s Good Morning America

Tiffany Catania, a Member Services Representative for UPMC Health Plan, earned her way into the “Dancing With the Moms Challenge” presented on ABC-TV’s Good Morning America in May 2007. As one of 10 finalists chosen from more than 1,500 entries to be part of the competition, she was given a video camera and asked to record a new dance challenge each week. In the first week, Tiffany had to choreograph a routine for her and her daughter, Morgan Yesko, to perform. The routine was posted on Good Morning America’s website and then was voted on by viewers across the country. To be chosen, each woman had to submit an essay explaining why she deserved the chance to dance. Tiffany wrote about her struggle with weight problems for most of her adult life and how she eventually lost 117 pounds.
