ABOUT US
In the Community
UPMC Health Plan reaches out to the communities we serve.
We want to help all our neighbors lead healthier lives, so we work with community leaders to create programs for people of all ages. Sometimes the path to better health is a group walk during the lunch hour, or a festival celebrating outdoor activity. Our community is improving its health one step at a time — and UPMC Health Plan is leading the way
We invest in our communities through strategic partnerships that promote the health and well-being of all people in Western Pennsylvania. Through our efforts, community leaders join together to discuss issues facing this region, including hunger, fitness, and family health. We collaborate with local and national organizations, focusing on initiatives that involve the active partnership of Health Plan employees while improving the health and well-being of community members.

3 mile walk
When you walk in March for Babies, you give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money you raise supports programs in western Pennsylvania that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. As the walk date approaches, look for more information on the UPMC Health Plan walking team and other sponsored activities. Diane P. Holder, president, UPMC Insurance Services Division, will serve as the March for Babies 2010 Honorary Chair.
