Daniel Vukmer, Esq

Daniel Vukmer, Esq, joined UPMC's Insurance Services Division in June 2003 as Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer. As such, he is responsible for all aspects of legal compliance, litigation, legal strategy, contracting and risk management for the Insurance Division's entities. Beginning in 2006, Mr. Vukmer was also named Vice President of Product Development, responsible for all stages of commercial product life cycles. Previously, Mr. Vukmer served as a senior attorney with such firms as Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue and Klett, Rooney, Lieber & Schorling.

He received a B.S. in chemistry and computer science from Juniata College in 1984 and a J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1993, where he graduated cum laude and served as Executive Managing Editor of the Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Vukmer was employed as a senior engineer with the International Telecommunications and Satellite Organization (Intelsat) in Washington, D.C.
