Interactive weight management program introduced
UPMC Health Plan has introduced an online program called GO, SLOW, WHOA that is designed to help members make the healthiest selections possible when they go to the grocery store. Foods in the GO group are low in calories and high in nutrients. Members can “GO” with these foods because they are healthy. Examples of foods in the GO group are:
Foods designated as SLOW are high in nutrients but have more calories. Members should be careful about how much of these foods they eat. Examples are:
