 HEDIS chart reviewUPMC Health Plan is visiting a select number of physician practices this spring to review patient charts. Other practices will receive fax requests for patient records from nurses at the Health Plan. The information obtained is used to determine compliance scores for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set® (HEDIS). Chart reviews will continue through May 31, 2008. Patients are selected randomly. For practices involved in the on-site chart review, a nurse will call to schedule an appointment and fax a list of patients prior to arriving at your office. Thank you for your assistance with the HEDIS study. |
