Mammogram Practice Rewards Program results

The grand prize winner of the first Mammogram Practice Rewards Program is TSMG Beaver Internal Medicine, located in Beaver Falls. This practice had a 40 percent overall increase in the number of mammograms performed in the last quarter of 2007. As the grand prize winner, the practice was given use of the UPMC box at the March 27 Penguins game (vs the Islanders).

Overall, through the Health Plan’s Mammogram Practice Rewards Program, almost 2,000 women received mammograms. The market segment with the highest percentage of women receiving mammograms was Eastern Allegheny, at 22 percent.

In addition, 87 practices earned a Panera breakfast for achieving the highest overall increase in mammograms within their tier (per market segment).

Thank you to all the practices that participated in the Mammogram Practice Rewards Program. Because this program was a success, we will continue to offer similar incentive programs in the future.
