Preventive health programs available

Two preventive behavioral health programs are available to UPMC for Kids members: One focuses on skills for parenting children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and is designed for parents or guardians of children up to 12 years old. The other addresses depression in members 18 years of age and older.

A series of free educational newsletters is available to the parents or guardians of UPMC for Kids members who have been recently diagnosed with ADHD and to members age 18 and older who have been recently diagnosed with depression. These newsletters provide information about what you can do to help yourself and your children feel better.

We encourage you to take advantage of these preventive health programs. If you would like more information about the programs or wish to receive the newsletters, call the toll-free Behavioral Health Preventive Health Phone Line at 1-866-639-2943. TTY users can call 1-877-877-3580. You can also read the materials by clicking on the UPMC for Kids CHIP members link at www.ccbh.com/upmcforkids/preventivehealth/index.php
