Life can be hard for people who have an illness or a chronic condition. Difficult life situations can make illness worse. UPMC for Life Specialty Plan staff can help.

Our staff is trained to work with members with illnesses or chronic conditions. We can give you useful information. We can help you find a doctor and make an appointment. We can help you decide what questions to ask your doctor at your next visit. We can connect you with resources — a group right in your community might offer just what you need.

Our staff can put you in touch with other departments so you can:

• Ask our Pharmacy Department questions about medications.
• Talk to one of our nurses if you have asthma, diabetes, or heart disease.
• Get a referral to a behavioral health specialist who can help you with addiction or depression.
