Reaching out to disabled members

UPMC for You has contracted with Human Arc, an organization that helps screen and assist members with Social Security disability applications (SSI and SSD). The service is free to current UPMC for You members. If you or a family member has a physical or behavioral health condition that will last at least one year and will prevent you or your family member from working, this service could help you increase your household income.

Human Arc has been providing services to health plans and hospitals nationally for over 20 years. The organization has extensive experience in assisting SSI/SSD applicants secure benefits.
