- Why am I reviewing my application for group health insurance online?
Your company is eligible for the all-electronic e solution from UPMC Health Plan. All of your employees have access to e-mail and the Internet, and your benefits administrator is willing to conduct all health insurance-related business online. The online capabilities can start right now.
If you feel your company may have been selected in error for this option, call a UPMC Health Plan Member Advocate at 1-888-383-UPMC (8762) or call your producer.
- How long will it take me to complete the application?
The online process will take from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the number of employees in your group.
- Is there a time limit for accessing the application?
The system allows unlimited time for access, and you may select "Save" at any time and return later to complete the information.
- Can I save the information I have entered and return to it in the future?
Yes. Select "Save" and return to it later.
- I don't use Internet Explorer as my browser. Can I still complete the application?
Yes. It does not matter which browser you use to access the electronic application/medical questionnaire.
- Why do I need to enter e-mail addresses for all company employees?
Once you select "Submit," every employee will receive an e-mail from UPMC Health Plan with a link to an application/medical questionnaire. All employees must complete the online forms before the Health Plan can establish a rate for your plan and send you a quote.
- Is there someone who can help when I have questions?
There are tip sheets located throughout the system. For assistance, call a UPMC Health Plan Member Advocate at 1-888-383-UPMC (8762) or call your producer.
- What happens after I sign and submit the application?
When you complete the E-Signature fields and click on "Submit," every employee will receive an e-mail from UPMC Health Plan with a link to an application/medical questionnaire. All employees must complete the online forms before the Health Plan can establish a rate for your plan and send you a quote.
