Health Plan launches communication campaign and wins awards
Award

UPMC Health Plan has launched a communications campaign that shows the Health Plan’s commitment to being an active partner in preventive health for its members and to assisting and empowering health care consumers.

“We have a great story to tell,” said Michael Taylor, executive director of Marketing & Communications for UPMC Health Plan. “Our innovative programs are making a difference for individual members every day, and we want the community to know we’re going above and beyond standard operating practices.”

The underlying message of the Health Plan’s communications campaign is “Good health is important to you, and to us.” More than just a message, the campaign highlights real programs that have been developed by the Health Plan to make a difference. Among them are educational and wellness programs, including online tools, discounts on physical fitness facilities, and personalized programs on weight management, tobacco dependence, and physical activity.

The Health Plan recently won a series of National advertising and communication awards  from the League of American Communications Professionals, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards.
