Stay resolved to get fit and quit tobacco with MyHealth
If you’re resolved to lose weight, exercise more frequently, or give up tobacco in 2007, the MyHealth program of UPMC Health Plan can help. MyHealth provides helpful resources online, over the phone, and in person with a qualified health coach for companies willing to make the investment. Fit in more exercise Looking for a more personal touch? MyHealth can help you customize a fitness program at your workplace, deliver lunchtime lectures on healthy living topics, and even provide health coaching services over the phone to qualified employers for a fee. Eat better and lose weight If your office could use a wellness makeover, contact your human resources representative about establishing an on-site group to help you lose weight with work colleagues. A UPMC Health Plan dietitian can offer lectures on such healthy eating topics as “Adding Flavor without Adding Calories,” help set up a workplace weight loss competition, or suggest improvements to your cafeteria food. Health coaching may also be available over the phone to help you and your colleagues reach your goals. Quit smoking For online help, visit the Stop Smoking section of MyHealth OnLine to participate in a 10-session quit smoking program and to read articles on the benefits of quitting. MyHealth representatives may also set up on-site groups to help you kick the habit at work or provide one-on-one support from our health coaches. Understand your health risks |
