UPMC Health Plan Earns Marketing Awards PITTSBURGH (August 31, 2006) — UPMC Health Plan has won several marketing and advertising industry awards that recognized the company for its efforts to bring health care solutions to Western Pennsylvania. The Health Plan's annual report, television advertising, and printed marketing pieces have all gained recognition for their ability to educate, inform, and build awareness around health promotion and the innovative programs being implemented for our members, providers and employers.From its beginnings, UPMC Health Plan has been an innovator and a company dedicated to bringing new solutions and competitive choice to Western Pennsylvania. The company's advertising and member communications—and the awards bestowed by industry experts—are an outward sign of the dedication the company applies toward connecting and caring for its members. The Eighteenth Annual APEX Awards for Publication Excellence An Annual Competition for Writers, Editors, Publications Staff and Business and Nonprofit Communicators: Award of Excellence for Annual Report Design and Layout. APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence.
