A collaborative group of physicians, nurses, and pharmacists from the Health Plan, the community, and UPMC, decides on a list of medications — called a formulary — to include in our pharmacy programs. They base their decisions on safety, effectiveness, and cost.

The Your Choice Pharmacy Program

The Your Choice pharmacy program provides value and freedom of choice by offering members a variety of high-quality, cost-effective generic and brand-name prescription drugs.

When members need a prescription medication, they can work with their doctor to choose from four different levels, or "tiers," to help them better manage their prescription drug costs. This gives members and their doctor the freedom to choose the medication that is right for them while helping members to better choose how to spend their health care dollars.
