What's a concierge doing at a health plan?

You expect to see a concierge at a hotel or an apartment building, welcoming guests, offering assistance, and making everyone feel at ease. That's exactly what our concierge service is meant to do.

When you join UPMC for Life you get your own personal Health Care Concierge (HCC). Your HCC is someone you know and can trust for answers and ongoing support. Expect not only a
welcome call, but regular follow-up calls from
your UPMC for Life HCC.

Your Health Care Concierge is committed to you as one of our valued members and is dedicated to providing you with personal service. At UPMC for Life, we believe that developing a relationship with your personal Health Care Concierge can be beneficial to your health and to a better understanding of your coverage.


How does it work?

It's easy.
You can make just one phone call and speak with your personal Health Care Concierge about any matter relating to Medicare and your coverage. Concierges can help you make important decisions about your medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage.


How do I contact my concierge?

We'll be in touch with you.
Your Health Care Concierge will contact you by phone to welcome you to the program. The concierge will also make personal calls on special occasions, such as:

  • To celebrate your birthday
  • To notify you of special events related to your benefits or health
  • To check in on you if we haven't heard from you in a while
