Quality Improvement Program

High-quality health care is a priority at UPMC Health Plan. Our Quality Improvement Program operates in collaboration with practitioners in the Health Plan network and according to guidelines established by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Areas of focus include quality management and improvement, credentialing and recredentialing of physicians and other providers, utilization management, member rights and responsibilities, and preventive health care.
