Ellen Beckjord will walk through ways you can see and engage with your loved ones using your smartphone. Michelle Palmieri will give an overview of the telehealth platforms available to you and provide instructions for how to visit with your doctor or health care providers without leaving home.

Resources for Life

Get help with solutions to life’s problems, big or small. We can connect you with community resources, telephonic counseling, and caregiver support. Call the number above or go to Resources for Life and use the password resources.

Telephonic counseling

Sometimes you just need someone to talk to. You can receive six counseling sessions per year—over the phone or in person—with a trained and licensed counselor at no extra cost.* Your counselor can help you with family and relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, and more.

Caregiver counseling

Your family members or caregivers can receive six counseling sessions per year—over the phone or in person—at no extra cost.* This benefit can be used to help caregivers reduce their feelings of loss, loneliness, or stress. It also helps caregivers by offering resources for communicating effectively, making tough decisions, setting goals, and solving problems.

Health coaching

A health coach can help you set goals, overcome challenges, manage stress, and stay on track toward enjoying your best health.

Odyssey by UPMC app

This free mobile app can help you manage your weight, improve your nutrition, reduce your stress, and much more. To download the app, simply search for “Odyssey by UPMC” in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Brain Manager gives you the support you need, on your time

The UPMC MyHealth 24/7 Nurse Line offers medical care at your fingertips. If you have symptoms such as a sore throat, dry cough, or fever, often treated at an urgent care center or your physician office, you can reach a health care professional 24/7 without leaving home. Your home phone or cell phone is all you need. Call the UPMC MyHealth 24/7 Nurse Line to speak with a specially trained nurse at 1-866-918-1591 (TTY: 711).

Pennsylvania Support & Referral Helpline

Call 1-855-284-2494 (TTY: 724-631-5600). Help is available 24/7 to assist Pennsylvanians who have anxiety or stress related to the COVID-19 emergency.
