About the speakers:

David Bubas, Sr. Director, UPMC Center for Engagement and Inclusion

Mr. Bubas is the senior director of the UPMC Center for Engagement and Inclusion. He is charged with enhancing the diversity and cultural competency skills of UPMC’s workforce, enriching the health status of the communities the health system serves, and growing UPMC’s patient and health insurance member market share through consumer engagement.

During his 18-year tenure with UPMC, Mr. Bubas has also worked on Human Resource competencies, including employee recruiting, selection, and retention; onboarding; learning and development; and employee engagement.

He teaches Human Resources courses at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public Health for those who are working to obtain a master’s degree in health administration.

Angela Williams, Director, Call Center Strategy, UPMC Health Plan;
Co-Chair, UPMC Health Plan Diversity Committee

Ms. Williams is the director of Call Center Strategy at UPMC Health Plan. In her role, she partners with both business and IT stakeholders to deliver strategic solutions, analytical thinking, and leadership support that enables the Call Center team to identify top call trends, evaluate existing processes and/or create new ones, and determine time- and cost-saving technology solutions to enhance the overall member, patient, and employee experience.

Ms. Williams is also a co-chair of both the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and the Excellence in Action Committee at UPMC Health Plan.
