Concerned about care away from home?
Your dependent children (up to age 26) can get the care they need no matter where they live, work, or study.

If you need unplanned care while traveling, we're there for you. The extended network—which is composed of SuperMed PPO, Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS), and MultiPlan networks—includes urgent care centers, thousands of hospitals, and more than 900,000 health care professionals across the country.

Wherever you travel, you’ll rest easier knowing your health coverage is coming along on the journey. When you travel more than 100 miles from home for less than 90 days, you have access to care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have a medical emergency, Assist America will connect you to medical resources, including doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies.

A Health Care Concierge can help you:

  • Find a doctor or other provider.
  • Get answers to benefit questions and explain how your health plan works.
  • Check to see if a prescription drug is covered.
  • Schedule important preventive care appointments.
  • Help you find a participating provider if you are traveling outside UPMC Health Plan’s service area and need care.

Virtual visits with a health care provider
You can receive care anytime, anywhere, and your visit will be covered at 100 percent.* With UPMC AnywhereCare, you don't need to leave home to see a health care provider for many nonemergency medical conditions.** Instead, you can have a virtual visit right from your smartphone, tablet, or computer with a webcam. You can receive treatment for these and other nonemergency conditions:
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Rashes
  • Sinus infections
  • Tick bites
A personalized members-only website
MyHealth OnLine gives you secure access to member discounts, Heath Care Concierge online chat, claims and spending details, and more!

A mobile app for your Android or iPhone
The UPMC Health Plan app lets you access your and your family’s member ID cards, live chat and secure text with a Health Care Concierge, check the status of your claims, and more!

*Only the virtual visit with the provider will be covered at 100 percent. Prescription drug and other costs related to the visit or recommended by the provider will not be included in the virtual visit coverage and will be your responsibility. If you are enrolled in the UPMC Advantage Silver HSA $2,800/20% plan, UPMC AnywhereCare virtual visits will be covered at 100 percent after you meet your deductible. **UPMC Health Plan members located in Pennsylvania at the time of the service will have a virtual visit with a UPMC-employed provider. UPMC Health Plan members located outside of Pennsylvania at the time of service will receive care from a provider employed or contracted by Online Care Network II PC.
