6 Find a doctor Primary care provider It’s always a good idea to select a primary care provider (PCP). Your PCP can be a family or general practitioner, an internist, or an ob-gyn. If you are enrolled in an HMO plan, you were required to select a PCP when you enrolled. If you are enrolled in a PPO plan, you should take a moment to select your PCP now. If you don’t choose a PCP, UPMC for Life may assign one for you. You can change your PCP at any time. To select a PCP, log in to My Health OnLine and click Find Care. You can also call your Health Care Concierge team for assistance in selecting your PCP. Specialist or other kind of provider We’ve made it easy to find the right doctor based on your needs.
