Join UPMC for Life at one of these special events – just for members

You can learn about your 2019 plan benefits along with all the additional programs you get just for being a UPMC for Life member. You can also talk with UPMC Health Plan staff, get your yearly flu vaccine, and receive other preventive screenings.

Remember, if you are happy with your current UPMC for Life plan, you do not need to re-enroll. Your coverage will continue for 2019.

Here are some of the important topics we’ll cover:

  • 2019 plan benefits. We’ll go over your plan benefits for January 1.
  • Part D prescriptions. Learn how to save money on your prescriptions and talk with our pharmacists about your medications.
  • Managing your medical conditions. Care experts will be on-site to offer health tips.
  • Health Care Concierge. Meet our dedicated Concierges and get personal assistance.
  • New for 2019! Personal training. Learn how to get a FREE personal training session in addition to your FREE gym membership.
  • New for 2019! Be safe at home. Our new benefits offer you a FREE in-home safety assessment from a trained provider and up to three bathroom safety products, such as a handheld shower head, grab bars, a nonslip bath mat, and more.
  • Expanded for 2019 Travel Concierge Program. Don’t forget, UPMC for Life HMO members now have in-network coverage when you travel to Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Get your yearly flu vaccine and other preventive screenings

UPMC for Life is here to help you get the preventive care you need. We’ll be offering preventive services to UPMC for Life members at no cost. These tests may help identify potential health risks. Some of the services we’re offering include the flu vaccine, blood glucose testing, bone mass measurement, body mass index, height and weight, cholesterol testing, and blood pressure screening.

Come to a meeting or join our online webinar

These events are open to UPMC for Life members and their friends and family. Members may come to the in-person plan benefits meeting without receiving preventive services. Seating is limited, so we recommend that you call to reserve a spot. Call us toll-free at 1-855-423-8762 seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.* Please call before October 10, 2018. TTY users should call 711.

Can’t make it to an in-person meeting? Attend our online member presentation. This will only cover the plan benefits presentation and you will have a chance to ask questions at the end. Keep scrolling for presentation dates, times, and instructions for joining.

In-person meetings

UPMC for Life will present information about your 2019 plan benefits. You can get your yearly flu shot as well as other preventive services. Preventive services will be available from 8 to 10 a.m. The plan benefits presentation will start at 10 a.m.

If you plan to receive preventive screenings, RSVP right away! Members who respond will be first to receive preventive care. You will be asked to present your member ID card. Only UPMC for Life members are eligible to receive preventive services.

For accurate results, do not eat or drink anything but water for 12 hours before your scheduled screening. Please check with your health care provider if you are concerned about fasting. You may drink water and you should take any medications that you normally take. Light refreshments will be available following the preventive services.
