UPMC Health Plan Earns Prestigious Stevie Award® for Customer Service

National award recognizes outstanding Health Care Concierge call center

PITTSBURGH (February 27, 2017) – The Stevie Awards recently announced that UPMC Health Plan has earned its top honor for large call center of the year.

UPMC Health Plan was named the Gold Stevie Award winner for Contact Center of the Year in recognition of its Health Care Concierge program at the 11th annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service ceremony held in Las Vegas on Friday, Feb. 24.

The Health Care Concierge program provides UPMC Health Plan members with a personal guide to help assist with a variety of needs, including finding a doctor, getting answers to benefit and prescription questions and scheduling preventive care appointments.

UPMC Health Plan earned the top honor by beating out a field of national competitors, including Delta Air Lines, Marriott Vacation Club International, VIZIO Inc. and DHL Express. Previous awardees include Delta Air Lines, Kohl’s Department Stores and OppenheimerFunds Inc.

In addition to the Gold Stevie Award, UPMC Health Plan also earned two Bronze Stevie Awards for Back-Office Customer Service Team of the Year as well as Customer Service Team of the Year (Recovery Situation).

The Stevie Awards are the world’s premier business awards. They were created in 2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide.

UPMC Health Plan has earned numerous customer service awards in recent years, including being recognized by J.D. Power in 2016 as the “Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in Pennsylvania.”
