Benefits of MyHealth Online

MyHealth OnLine is your secure member website. You can use it to access your health plan benefits, personalized tools, and important resources that can help you improve your health and wellness.

Below you will find detailed instructions that can help you navigate MyHealth OnLine. In just minutes, you’ll learn how to register, log in, and find the important health tools you need.

Are you a first-time MyHealth OnLine user?

Register as a first-time user

  1. You can use your member ID card or your Social Security number. This information will be used to verify your identity.
  2. Visit our Access MyHealth OnLine page.
  3. Click on Register for MyHealth OnLine.
  4. Read the Member Registration for MyHealth OnLine disclaimer. You must first check off that you agree to the disclaimer, then click Register.
  5. Complete your Health Plan Online Registration, then click Agree.
  6. Enter your Member ID as listed on your member ID card, or click on the link if you don’t have your member ID. Then click Next.
  7. Choose a username and password, then click Next.
  8. Two-step authentication is required; to set this up, click Next.
  9. Enter your phone number and select Send Code to receive a text message or select Call Me to receive a phone call.
  10. Enter the verification code from the text message or follow the prompts from the phone call to continue the two-step authentication setup.
  11. If successful, your registration is complete. Click on Log In to access your secure member website.

Already a MyHealth OnLine user?

Log in to your secure account:

  1. Go to
  2. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
  3. You will have to select the Call Me or Text Me option to verify your identity.
  4. Follow the steps as prompted.

Forgot your username or password?

  1. Have your member ID card handy. You may need to verify your account.
  2. Click Forgot username or password?
  3. If you've forgotten your username, click Forgot User ID?
  4. Follow the steps as prompted.
  5. If you've forgotten your password, first enter your username, then click Next.
  6. Click Forgot Password?
  7. Follow the steps as prompted to reset your password.

Update your profile for two-factor authentication:

Two-factor authentication keeps your account secure and allows us to verify your identity when you log in. Here’s how to set it up.

  1. Click on the Edit Profile link and log in with your username/password.
  2. Select Send Code for text verification or Call Me to receive a phone call, then follow the prompts.
  3. Enter your new phone number and confirm via the Send Code or Call Me option.

If you have previously registered using another phone number and you no longer have access to this number, call Member Services. They will update your profile with a new phone number.

Find your way around MyHealth OnLine

Print or order your member ID card

  1. Under the Your Insurance section on the homepage, click ID Cards.
  2. From there, you can choose to either Print ID Card or Order ID Card.

View plan benefit information

  1. Under the Your Insurance section of the homepage, click Plans and Coverage.
  2. Then, click on the Medical banner.
  3. Under the What is covered? drop-down, you can access your Summary of Benefits, Annual Notice of Change, Evidence of Coverage, and other plan documents.
  4. To open a document, simply click on the document name.

Add or change your PCP

  1. Under the Your Insurance section of the homepage, click Plans and Coverage.
  2. Then, click on the Medical banner.
  3. Open the Who is covered? drop-down by clicking on the downward-facing arrow.
  4. Click Details to see more information.
  5. Click on Change Primary Care Provider at the bottom of this section.
  6. You can search for your PCP by name if you already have one, or you can search for PCPs near you by entering your location.
  7. Then, click Search.

Find Care

  1. The easiest way to find a doctor, hospital, pharmacy, or other provider is to visit the UPMC Health Plan provider directory page.

    From MyHealth OnLine:
  2. Click Find Care under the Your Care and Treatment section on the homepage.
  3. Find Care is also listed at the top of every page within MyHealth OnLine.

Check prescriptions

  1. The easiest way to look up your prescription drug costs is to visit our online formulary search tool.
  2. To see if a prescription drug is covered and determine costs, click Drug pricing & coverage. After reading through the brief description, click Continue.
  3. Enter the full or partial name of the prescription drug you want to find and click Search.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

From MyHealth OnLine:

  1. Click Pharmacy and Prescriptions under the Your Care and Treatment section on the homepage.
  2. Click Search the Formulary.

Chat with a Health Care Concierge

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the homepage to locate Need additional help?
  2. Click Chat with Us to start a chat session. You can also send a secure message 24/7.

View claims information and print an EOB

  1. Click on Claims and EOBs under the Your Insurance section on the homepage.
  2. To view a claim, click on Details. To access or print your EOB, click on EOB.
  3. To quickly find a specific claim, you can search by type, date of service and status at the top of the page.

Sign up for automatic premium payments

  1. To manage your payments online, click on Premium Payments under the Your Insurance section on the homepage.
  2. Click on View & Pay Bills. A new site will open in a separate window. Please allow access to this site by turning off pop-up blockers when prompted by your browser. You can also turn off pop-up blockers through your browser’s internet settings.
  3. Once on this site, you can sign up for recurring payments, or pay your bill by selecting your preferred method of payment and following the steps as prompted.
  4. Click Next to proceed with completing your payment.

UPMC for Life has a contract with Medicare to provide HMO, HMO SNP, and PPO plans. The HMO SNP plans have a contract with the PA State Medical Assistance program. Enrollment in UPMC for Life depends on contract renewal.
