What is Find Your Fitness?

Find Your Fitness is a four-week challenge that reviews the four components of physical activity and the importance of adding them to your routine. Each week, you will learn about physical activity, track your progress, and try new activities to improve your health.

When will Find Your Fitness be Held?

Registration will end on Aug. 31. The challenge will run from Sept. 1 to 30.

How can I register?

Log in to MyHealth OnLine and follow this path: Menu > Better Health and Wellness > Wellness Event Registration

If you don’t have an account, follow these instructions to register for one:

  1. Go to upmchealthplan.com/members and select Register for MyHealth OnLine.
  2. Follow the instructions to register.
  3. Log in and follow this path: Menu > Better Health and Wellness > Wellness Event Registration.

How do I complete Find Your Fitness?

You must track your activity for 21 days of the campaign using My Activity Tracker. You can find this tool on MyHealth OnLine.

When should I log my activity each week?

You can log your activity whenever you want, but it’s best to log daily throughout the challenge.

Can I earn “steps” by completing activities other than walking?

Yes – any activity counts! Activities other than walking are tracked as “step equivalents” using the converter on MyHealth OnLine. You can find the tool by clicking Other Activity (under Track Your Activity).

Can I edit or delete activity entries?

Yes! You can edit or delete manual entries in the Activity Log on My Activity Tracker. Click the pencil to edit the entry or hover over it and select the trashcan to delete the entry. You cannot edit entries from your connected device.

How do I connect my wearable activity tracker?

  1. Log in to MyHealth OnLine and follow this path: Better Health and Wellness > Resources for Healthier Living > Browse by Resource Type > Trackers > View All Resources > Connect Your Physical Activity Monitor.
  2. Select your device type from the menu and enter its account information.
  3. Allow your data to be shared. (If you are connecting a Fitbit, you must share both profile and exercise and activity for data to be received.)
  4. Sync your device by opening its app.*
  5. View your steps in My Activity Tracker.

*You must open your device’s app each time you want to share data with us. Data sharing will not happen automatically. My Activity Tracker cannot display activity in real time. It can take a few hours for your data to appear.

If I’ve previously connected my wearable activity tracker, do I need to connect again?

You should not have to reconnect your device; however, you must regularly sync your device to its app for us to receive your activity data.

Is there any way to make the data automatically sync?

Yes! Apple devices use the UPMC Health Plan app to automatically track activity.

Here’s how:

  1. Download the UPMC Health Plan app.
  2. Register for an account or log in with your Workpartners account information.
  3. Follow this path: Account > App Settings > Step Tracking > Toggle on Step Tracking.
  4. You may be redirected to Health Access, toggle on Steps, and select Allow.

Do I need to have a wearable activity tracker to participate?

No, you do not need to have a fitness tracker to participate. My Activity Tracker allows you to track your steps and activities manually.

How can I receive tips via text message?

When you register for Find Your Fitness on MyHealth OnLine, enter your cell phone number to receive Find Your Fitness text messages.** Messages will begin during the first week of the challenge. You can opt out of the text messaging program at any time.

What is the benefit of receiving text messages?

Text messages support the information that’s provided in weekly emails, though most of the texted information can be found in the emails and on the website.
