Medical Care and Advice When You Need It

Telehealth benefits

UPMC for Life members can connect with participating doctors and providers face-to-face through a video appointment. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer that can show video and has a microphone.

Seeing your doctor over video is simple to use and allows you to interact face to face when making health care decisions. Your doctor can do many of the same things to treat you through a video visit that are done during an in-office visit. Many visits can also be done over the phone.

Your copay will be the same as if you were seeing your doctor in person. Your provider must be in the same state as you during your visit.

Virtual Visits

You have 24/7 access to talk with a UPMC provider* through an online video visit. This service can be used for nonemergency conditions such as colds and flu, sinus infections, coughs and sore throats, urinary symptoms, back pain, sunburn, pink eye, and poison ivy.

You’ll receive a personalized care plan and a prescription, if needed, from a UPMC provider—usually within minutes. UPMC providers can also make referrals and answer your medical questions.

Ready to get started? You do not need to schedule an appointment. Simply log in to the app or go to UPMC AnywhereCare and start your visit.

*UPMC Health Plan members located in Pennsylvania at the time of virtual visit may select a UPMC-employed provider or a provider from Online Care Network II PC (OCN), subject to availability and discretion of the provider. Members located outside of Pennsylvania will receive service from OCN. OCN is not an affiliate of UPMC.

Virtual Personal Counseling

UPMC for Life members get six personal counseling sessions per concern per year at no cost. You can talk to a counselor over the phone or through a UPMC AnywhereCare video visit.

Ask a Pharmacist

Need help sorting through your medications, or just have a few questions you’d like to ask an expert? You can schedule a video visit with one of our licensed pharmacists.

Our pharmacists can help you understand each of your medications, suggest ways to save money, and answer your questions. They can even talk with your doctor if you are experiencing side effects.
