UPMC MyHealth 24/7 Nurse Line

If you have a health concern and need immediate assistance, UPMC Health Plan’s registered nurses provide prompt and efficient service. After discussing your symptoms with you, the nurse will help you determine what level of care you need. Calling the UPMC MyHealth 24/7 Nurse Line will not only save you time by directing you to the most efficient way to get care, but could also save you money by helping you avoid a higher copay. This service is completely free for members and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Just call 1-866-918-1591 and have your member ID card ready. TTY users should call 711.

The UPMC MyHealth 24/7 Nurse Line is not for treatment of emergency medical conditions. In an emergency, you should dial 911 or seek care at the nearest emergency room. Nurses cannot answer plan or benefit questions; please call your Health Care Concierge team for this information.

UPMC AnywhereCare

UPMC AnywhereCare gives you access to low-cost, high-quality care for common medical conditions through a virtual visit. UPMC AnywhereCare providers* are easily accessible over live video straight from your smartphone, tablet, or computer any time, day or night. Members have a copay for this visit. See the Summary of Benefits for your plan for more information. The service works best for conditions such as colds and flu, sinus infections, coughs and sore throats, urinary symptoms, back pain, sunburn, pink eye, and poison ivy.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Log in to UPMC AnywhereCare through UPMCAnywherecare.com or download the UPMC AnywhereCare mobile app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play by searching for “UPMC AnywhereCare.”
  2. Describe your symptoms in a brief questionnaire.
  3. Receive a personalized care plan and a prescription, if needed, from a UPMC provider — usually within minutes. UPMC providers can also make referrals and answer your medical questions.

If you think you may be experiencing life-threatening symptoms, call 911 or seek immediate medical attention.

*UPMC Health Plan members located in Pennsylvania at the time of the service will have a virtual visit with a UPMC-employed provider. If a member is located outside Pennsylvania, the service will be delivered by a separate provider group - Online Care Group (OCG). UPMC AnywhereCare is currently not available in Texas or Arkansas.

UPMC for Life has a contract with Medicare to provide HMO, HMO SNP, and PPO plans. The HMO SNP plan has a contract with the PA State Medical Assistance program. Enrollment in UPMC for Life depends on contract renewal.
