Employee Commitment

Giving back is a part of our job. With more than 6,000 talented employees in the UPMC Insurance Services Division, we have a real opportunity to make positive change in the neighborhoods where we live, work, and play.

Employees are encouraged to become active role models in their communities, and donate their time and talents to organizations or causes that are important to them. Our employees serve on various nonprofit boards, offer leadership at community events, and participate in UPMC Insurance Services Division's annual fundraising campaigns, volunteer days, and food drives.

Charitable Giving

Each year, UPMC Health Plan employees participate in large fundraising campaigns for nonprofit organizations that work in the communities we serve. We are proud of our employees for fully embracing these groups and demonstrating a high level of volunteerism and teamwork every year—often surpassing the campaign’s fundraising and participation goals.

UPMC Health Plan’s annual employee fundraising initiatives include:

  • Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s Scouting for Food program
  • March of Dimes’ March for Babies
