UPMC for Kids turns 20!
Join us to celebrate UPMC for Kids turning 20! UPMC for Kids will host a free, family-friendly event on Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. at the UPMC Health Plan Connect Center in Monroeville. You can enjoy The Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium’s Zoomobile, health and wellness resources, games, and appearances by UPMC Health Plan mascots Will and Gabi.

A “Day of Care” in Erie
Date: Saturday, September 24
Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Youth dental clinic, health screenings, and vaccines | 12 to 3 p.m. – Community resource fair

Join us for a day of health, wellness, and community resources! Bring your friends and family to participate in the clinics listed below and be sure to stick around for a fun-filled resource fair featuring local community partner organizations in Erie. See you there!
- Lead screening from the Erie County Department of Health. Call 814-451-6705 for an appointment.
- Dental care for youth ages 1 to 19 from Big Smiles Mobile Dental. Health insurance (Medicaid preferred) is accepted and self-pay options are available. An appointment is required. Call 814-602-7164 to make an appointment.
- Flu vaccines from UPMC GoHealth Urgent Care (adults age 18+). Vaccine supply is limited. Vaccines will be administered on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability.
- Health screenings from UPMC Health Plan, such as blood pressure, bone density, glucose, and cholesterol (adults age 18+).

Better Together Community Health Event

Hosted by Philips Centers at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Health Plan.
This family-friendly event will bring together local organizations, healthcare providers, and community resources to create a fun and engaging Halloween experience while promoting health, wellness, safety, and connection. Families will trick-or-treat from table to table, learning about valuable community resources and services along the way. Our goal is to make mental and physical health resources more accessible, relatable, and community-driven. Physical health services will include screenings such as blood pressure, bone density, cholesterol, and flu and COVID-19 vaccines (see important information below). We hope to see you there!

Parkinson's Support Group
Date: The first Wednesday of every month

This monthly event is hosted by the Parkinson's Foundation of Western PA and is open to anyone affected by Parkinson's Disease – including patients and their loved ones, friends, and caregivers. Learn about available treatments, build your skills to cope with uncertainty and improve mental resilience, and connect with others who have experience in dealing with this disease. No registration required.
UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center: Monthly Food Distribution
When: Fourth Saturday of every month
Time: 9 to 11 a.m.
Location: UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center, The Village at Eastside, 6401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206
Our food pantry is open to the public one Saturday per month during normal operating hours. Families and individuals can take home a box of free food containing a selection of nutritious shelf-stable items, fresh produce, meats, dairy, and frozen items. Food boxes are limited to one per family/individual, per month, and are available on a first-come, first served basis while the food pantry is open.
Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is preferred. Call 412-665-4650 to register and learn about food pantry operation dates.
