2025 Pharmacist Care Day

Date: Wednesday, Oct. 8

Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center | Pittsburgh – 6401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206

Stay well this fall and winter! Join us for a FREE event that can help prepare you for a healthy season. Stop by the UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center in Pittsburgh from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 8 to:

  • Get protected with a flu vaccine.
  • Get screened for blood pressure, bone density, cholesterol, and other health indicators.
  • Discuss pharmaceutical and health issues (such as drug interactions or how to take medications) with pharmacists from UPMC Health Plan and the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.
  • Pick up a take-back bag for proper disposal of unused medications.
  • Learn about health insurance coverage options for yourself and your family.
  • Grab some giveaways, meet a few special guests, and more!

Important information about this event:

  • Registration is preferred. Walk-ins will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, depending upon the availability of event personnel and supplies.
  • You do not need to be a UPMC Health Plan member to attend this event and receive services.
  • Flu vaccines and health screenings will be offered to adults age 18 or older.
  • Flu vaccines and health screenings will be administered at no cost, regardless of health insurance status. However, if you are insured, please bring your health insurance ID card to the event.

UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center: Monthly Food Distribution

When: Fourth Saturday of every month

Time: 9 to 11 a.m.

Location: UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center, The Village at Eastside, 6401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206

Our food pantry is open to the public one Saturday per month during normal operating hours. Families and individuals can take home a box of free food containing a selection of nutritious shelf-stable items, fresh produce, meats, dairy, and frozen items. Food boxes are limited to one per family/individual, per month, and are available on a first-come, first served basis while the food pantry is open.

Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is preferred. Call 412-665-4650 to register and learn about food pantry operation dates.
