UPMC and UPMC Health Plan Among 53 Employers Nationwide Honored for Advancing Well-Being
Pittsburgh (May. 15, 2025) – UPMC and UPMC Health Plan have once again earned the prestigious Business Group on Health Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-Being Award, marking continued leadership in advancing employee well-being through innovative programs and comprehensive benefits.
At the Business Group on Health’s annual conference in Nashville, Tenn., UPMC and UPMC Health Plan were among fifty-three distinguished employers recognized for their dedication to fostering a healthier workplace.
This honor specifically acknowledges UPMC and UPMC Health Plan’s excellence in health initiatives, ensuring all employees have the opportunity to achieve their full health potential. Their efforts include expanding programs and benefits, reducing health disparities, and advancing population health—all key pillars of a workplace culture committed to holistic well-being.
The award criteria evaluated multiple dimensions of employee well-being, including leadership, organizational culture, mental and financial health, social connectedness, job satisfaction, workplace flexibility, and time away policies.
