COBRA Qualifying Event Notification

We have a new Benefit Management Services feature on UPMC Health Plan’s Employer OnLine (EOL).

If you have not opted into the EOL COBRA notification process, there is now another secure option available. You can use the digital COBRA Qualifying Event form on EOL. This can be found in the Documents & Forms tab by selecting Forms.

COBRA Remittance Report Reminder

As a reminder, Benefit Management Services has transitioned away from the monthly email delivery of COBRA remittance reports. Instead of monthly email delivery, we invite all our COBRA clients to leverage the COBRApoint employer portal for seamless access to their reports.

What does this mean for you?

COBRApoint offers a fortress of protection, ensuring that your data remains confidential and accessible only to authorized personnel. Data transmitted through the employer portal is encrypted, safeguarding it from interception during email transmission.

Remittance reports will be available for you to generate in the Reports Tab once we close out the billing month.

Due to COBRA mandates that allow a 30-day payment grace period, month-end closing typically occurs around the fifth of the month. Payments cover the prior month, not the current month for which the report is being generated.
