Tobacco Free Allegheny (TFA) serves as a resource to the community, providing education about all aspects of tobacco use and the harmful effects of secondhand smoke exposure. It maintains a library of information and visual aids for loan to schools, students, and community organizations. TFA is a nonprofit corporation and a part of the statewide tobacco control program supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

MyLastDip
A unique Web-based intervention that is designed to help chewing tobacco users ages 14 -25 quit. The program was developed by researchers with over 30 years' experience in smokeless tobacco research and funded by a government grant from the National Cancer Institute.

NA is a mutual support program for individuals with any type of drug problem. It has many tools such as recovery meetings, sponsorship, recovery literature, the 12-step program, and other resources.
Overdose Prevention Training with Naloxone Distribution
If you use opioids, live with someone who does, or are otherwise likely to be present when someone overdoses, you can get a brief training on how to use naloxone and get a naloxone kit to take home at the end of the training through standing order prescription.

Al-Anon

Alateen

This group is for families and friends who have known a feeling of desperation concerning the destructive behavior of someone very near to them, whether caused by drugs, alcohol, or related behavioral problems. Meetings without Walls are online meetings.
Nar-Anon
Nar-Anon is a 12-step mutual support program adapted from Narcotics Anonymous. This program offers group meetings for families affected by any type of drug problem.

Prescription medication abuse is becoming more prevalent across the nation. Improper disposal of prescription medication contributes to this increase, as well as environmental hazards that harm rivers and wildlife. The majority of prescription medication that results in overdoses was originally prescribed by physicians.
