UPMC Health Plan recommends COVID-19 booster shots for all who are eligible

"The CDC recently indicated that everyone ages 16 and older can get a COVID-19 booster shot.

  • 16-17-year-olds can only get a Pfizer vaccine booster.
  • Those 18 and older can get a booster with any of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Pfizer and Moderna boosters should be given at least six months after the second vaccine. The Johnson & Johnson booster should be given at least two months after the first vaccine.
