Camber Pharmaceuticals Inc. is recalling Atovaquone Oral Suspension, USP 750 mg/5 mL, lot #E220182 with an expiration date of 12/2023, due to possible bacterial contamination in the product. This drug is used for the prevention and treatment of a lung infection called Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia (PCP) in adults and children 13 years old and older who cannot tolerate other medicines, such as trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole.
