Voluntary nationwide recall: Vancomycin (Amneal - March)

Amneal Pharmaceuticals, LLC is recalling four lots of Vancomycin Hydrochloride for Oral Solution, USP, 250 mg/5 mL. Vancomycin is used for treatment of certain bacterial infections.
This drug is being recalled because some bottles may have been overfilled. This may cause a higher dose to be received and may increase adverse effects, such as kidney damage.
As of the date of Amneal’s recall announcement, March 27, 2024, there have been no reports of adverse events related to this recall. To see if your medication was recalled, contact your doctor or pharmacy where you received the medication or visit the FDA website below.
If you have an affected lot of Vancomycin, you should stop using the item and return it to the place of purchase.
