How to renew with UPMC for Kids

All CHIP members must renew their coverage every 12 months. In addition to completing an electronic or paper form, they must submit proof of all household income.

A member of UPMC for Kids’ dedicated team of navigators will try to contact you before your renewal due date to help with completing the process.*

UPMC for Kids offers three easy ways to renew CHIP coverage!

• Phone: Renew over the phone by calling us at 1-800-978-8762.

• Online: Renew online by visiting COMPASS, or though your myCOMPASS PA mobile app, Pennsylvania’s fast and easy way to apply for and renew health and human services benefits.

• Mail: Renew using a paper form.
  • The Department of Human Services (DHS) will mail your renewal packet. This packet can be completed and returned to your local County Assistance Office (CAO)
