What's New for 2021

For the Standard Option HMO:

  • Diabetic self-management education services are covered at 100 percent even if you have not yet met your deductible.
  • There is a $1,325 hearing health care allowance per ear every 36 months that covers hearing aids and exams. This allowance applies to members who are 21 or older. Members must use a participating Amplifon Hearing Health Care provider. To find a participating provider, visit our provider directory.
  • UPMC Health Plan now provides reimbursement for Medicare Part B premiums, up to $800 per calendar year, to annuitants and their spouses who are Health Plan members and in Medicare Parts A and B. To be reimbursed, you must submit a request with proof of your Part B premium payment.

For the High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) Option:

  • Diabetic self-management education services are covered at 100 percent after you've met your deductible.
  • PKU nutritional products are covered with 15 percent coinsurance. Deductible does not apply.
