What's New for 2021

High Option HMO:

This plan option is no longer offered for 2021. If you are enrolled in the High Option HMO, and do not make another selection for 2021 during open season, you will automatically be enrolled in the Standard Option HMO.

Standard Option HMO:

  • Diabetic self-management education services are covered at 100 percent even if you have not yet met your deductible.
  • We've partnered with Amplifon to offer a comprehensive hearing program. The benefit has been reduced to $1,325 per ear every 36 months, and includes a hearing exam. However, deductible and coinsurance no longer applies to hearing benefits.
  • UPMC Health Plan is increasing its Part B allowance for annuitants and spouses enrolled in Medicare Parts A & B from $600 per year to $800 per year.

High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) Option:

  • Diabetic self-management education services are covered at 100 percent after you've met your deductible.
  • Phenylketonuria (PKU) nutritional products are covered with 15 percent coinsurance. Deductible does not apply.
