What's New for 2022

Standard Option HMO:

  • Diabetic self-management education services are covered at 100 percent even if you have not yet met your deductible.
  • We've partnered with Amplifon to offer a comprehensive hearing program. The benefit has been reduced to $1,325 per ear every 36 months, and includes a hearing exam. However, deductible and coinsurance no longer applies to hearing benefits.
  • UPMC Health Plan is increasing its Part B allowance for annuitants and spouses enrolled in Medicare Parts A & B from $600 per year to $800 per year.

High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) Option:

  • Diabetic self-management education services are covered at 100 percent after you've met your deductible.
  • Phenylketonuria (PKU) nutritional products are covered with 15 percent coinsurance. Deductible does not apply.

Standard Option HMO

Our Standard Option HMO plan offers a lower monthly premium and you can use the reward dollars earned in your health incentive account (HIA) to pay for coinsurance, pharmacy copayments, and deductible.
