What is my allowance amount?
With the Shop Healthy Card, you get a $400 quarterly allowance—that’s up to $1,600 per year—to buy covered over-the-counter (OTC) products and healthy foods. Here’s how it works:
- Your $400 quarterly allowance will be added to your card on Jan. 1, April 1, July 1, and Oct. 1 (depending on your plan effective date).
- Throughout the quarter, you can spend your allowance however you like on covered OTC products and healthy foods.
- You can shop for OTC products and healthy foods at any of our participating retail stores. You can also buy OTC products through mail order.
- At the end of each quarter, any unused dollars will expire. This allowance will not roll over to the next quarter.
