COVID-19 vaccines for children

Jul. 2022Important Notices
"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends COVID-19 vaccines for everyone 6 months old and older and boosters for everyone 5 years old and older, if eligible. Use CDC's COVID-19 booster tool to learn if and when a child or teen can get boosters to stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines.

There are two options for scheduling a child for a vaccine appointment at UPMC:
  • If a child is an existing UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics patient, they can schedule an appointment online or by calling your office.
  • If a child is NOT an existing UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics patient, patients can schedule by visiting Vaccine.UPMC.com or calling 1-844-UPMCVAC (1-844-876-2822) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Additionally, you may also visit the CDC to learn how to find a COVID-19 vaccine.
