UPMC Health Plan to reduce paper check frequency
Oct. 2024Important Notices
On Sept. 1, 2024, UPMC Health Plan reduced the frequency at which we process paper checks and electronic funds transfers (EFTs) each month. Please note that UPMC Health Plan will continue to process clean claims within the timeliness standards that are outlined in the provider agreement.
In light of this change, we want to remind you that you can enroll in EFTs for claims payments. Using EFTs is a faster method of payment than paper checks.
For more information, please reference the Provider Manual.
