Voluntary nationwide recall: Alcohol Pads (Cardinal – March)

Cardinal Health is recalling multiple lots of Webcol™ Large Alcohol Prep Pads (70% isopropyl alcohol). Alcohol prep pads are used for external cleansing of the skin.

This product is being recalled because of microbial contamination. Using a product that has microbial contamination may cause infections in people with weak immune systems.

To see if your product was recalled, contact your doctor or the pharmacy where you received it. You can also visit the FDA website below. If you have an affected lot of Webcol™ Large Alcohol Prep Pads or are experiencing any problems that may be related to receiving the product, you should stop using it and talk to your doctor.

As of March 19, there had been no reports of adverse events related to this recall.
