Clinical workflow changes through Epic®

Sep. 2026Important Notices

Changes are coming for network providers that utilize Provider OnLine to submit specific information to UPMC Health Plan. Select activities that were previously completed in Provider OnLine will now transition to UPMC Health Plan Tapestry Link.

UPMC Health Plan Tapestry Link is a secure, web-based portal accessible through Provider OnLine. It will allow community-based providers to access UPMC Health Plan member information in order to submit authorizations, appeals, Prescription for Wellness referrals, and member assessments. Tapestry Link is scheduled to go live on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2026. Appeals submitted through Tapestry Link will go live on Jan. 1, 2027.

Access to this online portal will continue to be requested in and granted by Provider OnLine. Providers who already have access to Provider OnLine will retain their access but will also be granted access to UPMC Health Plan Tapestry Link where required. After logging in to Provider OnLine, users with access to the affected activities will be given the ability to single-sign-on into UPMC Health Plan Tapestry Link to complete submissions to UPMC Health Plan.

Additional overviews and trainings will be available on Provider OnLine in the coming weeks.
