Medicaid Renewal

Aug. 2026Important Notices

Starting in 2027, some Medicaid recipients (ages 19-64) will have new requirements to keep their coverage.

As providers, you can help members navigate this transition and prepare.

Changes will vary based on individual eligibility and circumstances.

Some Medicaid recipients will need to:

  1. Renew their coverage every 6 months instead of every 12 months.
  1. Complete work and community engagement requirements.

UPMC Health Plan’s Provider OnLine portal offers access to view member’s Medicaid renewal due dates and more. Review additional details and resources.
