If you have a health concern and need help right away, UPMC Health Plan’s registered nurses can provide prompt and efficient service. After discussing your symptoms with you, the nurse will help you determine what level of care you need. This service is free for members and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call 1-866-918-1591 (TTY: 711) and have your member ID card ready.

UPMC AnywhereCare

UPMC AnywhereCare makes it easy to get the care you need from home! All you need is access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer that has a camera and microphone.

Visit UPMC AnywhereCare or download the app from your device’s app store to get started. From there, you can choose the type of visit you’re looking for. You have the option to talk with a doctor, personal counselor, or pharmacist through an online video visit.

If you think you may be experiencing life-threatening symptoms, call 911 or seek immediate medical attention.

Telehealth

Connect with participating doctors and providers face to face through a video appointment. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer that can show video and has a microphone.

Seeing your doctor over video is simple to use and allows you to interact face to face when making health care decisions. Your doctor can do many of the same things to treat you through a video visit that are done during an in-office visit. Some visits can also be done over the phone.

Your family members or caregivers can receive six counseling sessions per year—over the phone or in person—at no extra cost.* This benefit can be used to help caregivers reduce their feelings of loss, loneliness, or stress. For those currently enrolled in Pennsylvania Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), CHIP has made temporary changes designed to ease access to CHIP and to keep families enrolled for the duration of the public health emergency. UPMC Children's AnywhereCare*

UPMC Health Plan's telemedicine service, UPMC AnywhereCare, has expanded to offer care to children of all ages. With UPMC Children's AnywhereCare, children ages 0-17 can have virtual visits 24/7 with UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh providers over live video. Anytime, day or night. Members who are 18 years old and older will continue to use UPMC AnywhereCare.
