Medical Care and Advice When You Need It

Telehealth benefits

UPMC for Life Complete Care (HMO SNP) members can connect with participating doctors and providers face-to-face through a video appointment. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer that can show video and has a microphone. You have a $0 copay for telehealth visits with your PCP and specialists.

Seeing your doctor over video is simple to use and allows you to interact face-to-face when making health care decisions. Your doctor can do many of the same things to treat you through a video visit that are done during an in-office visit. Many visits can also be done over the phone.

UPMC AnywhereCare

You have 24/7 access to talk with a UPMC provider* through an online video visit. You have a $0 copay when using UPMC AnywhereCare. This service can be used for nonemergency conditions such as colds and flu, sinus infections, coughs and sore throats, urinary symptoms, back pain, sunburn, pink eye, and poison ivy.

You’ll receive a personalized care plan and a prescription, if needed, from a UPMC provider—usually within minutes. UPMC providers can also make referrals and answer your medical questions.

Ready to get started? You do not need to schedule an appointment. Simply log in to the app or go to UPMC AnywhereCare and start your visit.

*UPMC for Life members who are in Pennsylvania at the time of a virtual visit may select a UPMC-employed provider, subject to availability and discretion of the provider. Members located outside of Pennsylvania at the time of service will receive care from a provider employed or contracted by Online Care Network II PC (OCN), also known as Amwell Medical Group. OCN is not an affiliate of UPMC. Providers are not available to treat members who are in Puerto Rico.

Personal counseling

Six sessions per concern per year with a trained and licensed counselor through Resources for Life.

Ready to schedule your video visit? Simply log in to the app or go to UPMC AnywhereCare and pick a time that’s convenient for you.

This benefit is administered through Resources for Life® and is a separate benefit from the outpatient mental health benefits provided under your plan, which may require a copay or other cost sharing. Please see your Evidence of Coverage for details.

Ask a Pharmacist

Need help sorting through your medications, or just have a few questions you’d like to ask an expert? You can schedule a video visit with one of our licensed pharmacists at no cost.

The pharmacist can help you understand each of your medications, suggest ways to save money, and answer your questions. They can even talk with your doctor if you are experiencing side effects.
