UPMC Health Plan’s commitment to excellence led to our achievement of the J.D. Power award for “Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in Pennsylvania, Two Years in a Row”.

The J.D. Power 2017 U.S. Member Health Plan Study was based on nearly 34,000 responses and examined the overall experience of health plan members with commercial health insurance (excluding commercial Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace exchange programs). It looked at five study factors: coverage and benefits; cost; provider choice; customer service; information and communication.

UPMC Health Plan achieved the highest score in the coverage and benefits; provider choice; information and communication, and claims processing in the Pennsylvania region.

UPMC Health Plan received the highest numerical score among commercial health plans in Pennsylvania in the J.D.
